2,500 Fulton County Students Accept MassMutual's FutureSmart Challenge

More than 2,500 middle school students from across Atlanta's Fulton County recently attended MassMutual’s FutureSmart Challenge at Philips Arena where they learned about the importance of managing their money, avoiding debt and making smart investments. Students were welcomed by Bill McQuaid, head of MassMutual’s local Atlanta Piedmont Group and lead through an interactive seminar by actor and author Hill Harper. Harper was joined by Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll for an inspiring conversation on how Carroll’s education led him to professional basketball while the Atlanta Hawks provided entertainment. MassMutual’s FutureSmart Challenge is a multi-city tour which aims to empower and challenge young future leaders to take positive steps toward a successful career and financial security for themselves, their families and their communities. The program will deliver hands-on curriculum in area classrooms this spring through Junior Achievement.  Learn more about MassMutual's FutureSmart Challenge here.
