29 Arrest Warrants Issued for Graffiti Artists

Atlanta police say seven men are responsible for more than 800 acts of graffiti vandalism.

Some of the city's better-known graffiti artists have been caught with the can in their hand.

The Atlanta Police Department announced today that 29 arrest warrants have been issued for seven men they believe are responsible for more than 800 acts of graffiti vandalism around the city.

Two of the men, known for tagging their graffiti with the names Enzo and Vomet, "are both specifically charged with damage to [the former] City Hall East, and the both of them can be found on many surfaces throughout Midtown," according to Officer Ari Bleifeld, who spent months tracking the suspects as part of the city's Graffiti Task Force.

While executing three warrants, police said they seized evidence such as spray paint cans, photos and other property items that displayed the tag of some suspects.

Police already have arrested two of the seven suspects and say a third man is in custody on unrelated charges.

“These arrest warrants show the APD’s commitment to enforcement of quality of life issues, such as graffiti vandalism,” Chief George Turner said Tuesday in a prepared statement. “Left unchecked, graffiti can bring down a community and give people the impression that its residents simply don’t care. Our pursuit of these lawbreakers is proof that the city of Atlanta does care.”

Here is the list of charges for the seven suspects:

  • Michael Norman Goodman (known as Enzo), 20, was taken into custody and is being held at the Fulton County Jail on one felony count of criminal damage to property in the second degree. He also faces six counts of violating the city ordinance on graffiti abatement and a destruction of property charge.
  • Christopher Erik Smith (known as Vomet), 28, is wanted for four counts of violating the city ordinance on graffiti abatement.
  • Joshua Graham Feigert (known as Feed or Russia), 27, is wanted by police for three counts of violating the city ordinance on graffiti abatement and one felony count of criminal damage to property in the second degree.
