Another Shooting Takes Place at Room Service Lounge on Piedmont Circle

One person was shot multiple times on Sunday inside Room Service Lounge.

According to Atlanta Police spokesperson, Kim Jones, a man was sent to the hospital Sunday morning after receiving gunshot wounds from possibly inside Room Service Lounge.

Jones indicated that, "On 6-2-2013 officers responded to 1937 Piedmont Circle regarding a person shot call. Upon arrival officers were directed to the rear of the location where they found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds."

APD says that, "the preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting may have occurred inside the establishment," but also told Midtown Patch that they were "unable to locate any witness willing to discuss the incident."  The responding officers also wrote in their report that the victim was "uncooperative".

Jones added that, "the male appeared to have been shot twice in the chest and once in the leg." 

As hospital staff was attempting to treat the victim a small bag of marijuana was located on his person. The victim was taken into custody and charged with drug possession.

Records indicate that the victim named, Murjani Yearwood, turned 36 on June 1st and may have been celebrating his birthday at the time of the shooting.
