Apache Cafe Employee Robbed Leaving Work

Man reportedly brandishing a handgun held up woman in Midtown.

According to Georgia Tech and Atlanta police, a woman was robbed at gunpoint on 3rd Street this week.

At around 1:20 a.m. on March 24, the woman, an employee at Apache Cafe, was walking to her vehicle after work when she was approached by a man brandishing a handgun.

After taking her belongings, the man fled on foot and was last seen heading south on West Peachtree Street.

The suspect was described as a black male, in his 50s and sporting a beard. He is approximately 5-foot-10, and was last seen wearing a large, green, puffy jacket.

Authorities encourage residents to report any information regarding this and other criminal incidents to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
