Atlanta Falcon Face-Tattooed Man Arrested in SCAD Robbery

Tip leads to arrest of man, who sports a Falcons' logo between his eyes, in connection with last month's Midtown school incident in which two students were and bound and robbed in their dorm room.

The undefeated Atlanta Falcons are coming up big winners this fall, but apparently a man with the logo of the Dirty Birds tattooed between his eyes came up a loser when he was arrested in connection with last month’s armed robbery in a Savannah College of Art and Design dorm room.

The Atlanta Police Department announced today that an anonymous tip led to the arrest of Richard D Chaney, 29, in connection with the Sept. 17 incident in which two men allegedly broke into a dorm room of the Midtown school and bound and robbed a pair of male students.

APD plans to release more details later Thursday. Fulton County Jail records indicate Chaney, who was charged with robbery and false imprisonment, was arrested on Oct. 3. A second suspect is believed to still be at-large.

Late last month, APD released a surveillance video_and explained that one of the suspects had a PacMan symbol tattooed to his neck, and the Falcons’ logo tattooed between his eyes.

An examination of Chaney’s photo from the Fulton County Jail reveals a small Falcons’ logo between his eyes. The 5-0 Falcons are off to their best start in franchise history. PacMan cannot be detected in the jail photo.
