Atlanta Police Looking for Fraud Suspect

The woman is suspected of stealing over $100,000 and committing identity fraud.

The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's help to catch a woman who they believe stole a person's identity then ran off with $123,000 in fraudulent gains.

FOX 5 Atlanta, quoting police sources, says that Tanya Monique Peel opened up a fake business account at JP Morgan Chase in Atlanta in December of last year.

Peel then allegedly stole the identity of a Charles Schwab account holder, posed as the victim to transfer $123,000 to her JP Morgan Chase account, then withdrew the money and disappeared.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Peel's arrest. If you wish to submit information, please call 404-577-8477 or visit Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta's website.
