Auto Theft in Ansley Park

Despite the crime this week in Midtown, through the first 49 weeks of the year, auto thefts were down 11 percent citywide.

While auto thefts are down for the year in the City of Atlanta and in the Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 5, it certainly doesn’t mean residents aren’t at risk.

On Monday around 10 p.m., a man parked his 1996 Honda Civic along Inman Circle in the Ansley Park neighborhood. When he returned around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the vehicle was gone.

Atlanta police checked to see if the vehicle had been impounded, but found no record of such. The vehicle was then placed in the APD system as stolen.
