Beaten And Carjacked, Livery Driver Dropped Off In West Midtown By His Attackers

Atlanta police are looking for three men suspected of beating up a cab driver and Saturday afternoon and then dropping him off in West Midtown before making off with his cab.

The driver, who was hospitalized with injuries to the head, told police he picked up the three men Downtown at the Omni Hotel on Centennial Olympic Park Dr. at about 12:30 Saturday.

The three attacked him at some point, seized control of the vehicle, put him out of the taxi at Northside Drive and North Avenue in West Midtown, and fled in the cab, said John Chafee, a spokesman with the Atlanta Police Department.

Police recovered the taxi not long after near North Avenue and State Street.
