WOW, I posted three separate comments today. Getting OUT OF CONTROL in Atlanta! All black males with handguns. No assault weapons, no extended clips so a new odumbo law would be useless. Where's John Lewis, Kasim Reed, Jesse Charlatan, Al Bull-Crapton now. I forgot, it's blacks terrorizing whites that's ok.
50 years after MLK, boy is he rolling over in his grave. Well, he had a dream and it's now a nightmare. 50 years of government programs, housing projects, food stamps. Time to gate up private communities, hire private security and send the kids to private school.

I find it interesting that people come onto these blogs, websites, etc. and feel the need to drop these nuggets of racially insensitive wisdom while hiding behind the safety of an online pseudonym.
Clearly everyone is entitled to an opinion and to share how they are feeling. But please explain to me how constantly stating that it is black males committing these crimes in every case in Atlanta is driving the conversation forward? I could go on for days about how these types of statements are rarely supported by actual facts, historical trend data and non-misinterpreted statistics, but I won't because I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince someone of something they truly believe (whether or not it's supported by facts). The real question I have is what solutions, policy recommendations, changes, innovations, etc... are you recommending to actually IMPROVE the situation at hand aside from pointing the finger at black males? Do you suggest that we lock all black males away (wait, pretty sure we're doing that already) or that we revert back to the good ole days of Jim Crow south when blacks and whites were separated? Sarcasm aside, I really would like to know how these types of comments help. If any thing they seem to create further divides (racial and other wise), offend and anger others, and stagnate what could be productive dialogue and conversation.

Frankly people are just tired of the crime, drugs and constant harassment. Which unfortunately seem to fall disproportionately on the black male side. Why is there such a tolerance of this amongst the black leadership of Atlanta. There should be protests, sit ins, phone trees. We should be outraged! Sadly we fall behind, well that's just racist if you say that. No its true. It is a revolving door of Fulton County criminals coming back on the streets to commit crimes over and over again. ..and if you attend the cases they are mostly black males. The black leadership needs to address the black problem.

Back in the Jim Crow days, crime wasn't half as bad as it is today. Maybe they were on to something back then. Maybe if we never changed to the way we are, we wouldn't have issues with murders and robberies. I say bring back segregation and the racists white cops. Quality of life would improve over night.

Actually I think it's quite the opposite. The black leadership is okay with black on black crime. Pockets of poverty down boulevard, five points station that spill out onto adjoining neighborhoods. They continue to ignore the problem while the population suffers in silence, powerless unable to do anything except call 911 and arm themselves. Its a shame.
