Gunshot Fire after Westside Waffle House Parking Lot Robbery

Reported incidents took place off Howell Mill Road and in the Underwood Hills Neighborhood.

A westside Atlanta armed pedestrian robbery in a Waffle House parking lot resulted in alleged gunshot fire in the Underwood Hills Neighborhood.

According Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones, the incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 17. A female victim told responding officers she and her cousin had earlier arrived at the restaurant, located at 1700 Howell Mill Road near DeFoor Avenue. 

Upon exiting the vehicle, the victim said she was approached by two unknown males. At this point, one of the suspects, described as a black male wearing all black with dreadlocks, placed a handgun to the victim’s stomach and stated, "give me all you got."

After the woman handed over her phone, a black and white Chanel wallet, and car keys, the suspects sped off in a tan sedan on DeFoor Ave. in the direction of Collier Road.

The cousin of the victim told police that she pursued the suspects in her vehicle. She stated that they began making turns down side streets and eventually fired shots at her. She advised that she immediately stopped once they began shooting and returned to her cousin at the Waffle House.

One .40 caliber shell casing was located by police at the intersection of Defoor Ave. and Taylor Street.

The staff at Waffle House advised police that the suspects were inside eating at the location just before the robbery occurred.
