Editor’s Note: The following crime report provided by the Atlanta Police Department was sent electronically by the Home Park Community Improvement Association to Home Park neighborhood residents on Monday, Nov. 26. 2012 concerning crime in and around the westside neighborhood. These reports are not meant to scare anyone, but to make citizens aware of what happens around the neighborhood everyday and to raise resident's level of alertness. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify us. We will verify and report the outcome.

FOWLER ST NW
On Friday, 11/9/2012 at 11:02, I unit 2506 was dispatched to a fight in progress located at **** Fowler Street. Upon my arrival, *** (victim) stated Mr. *** (arrestee) verbally threatened to "[expletive] his ass up", threw a role tape at him and pushed him into drying machine. The victim had a minor abrasion to his right elbow from being pushed into machine. Mr.*** refused medical treatment. Ms. *** (witness) stated the victim and the arrestee *** began arguing about work related issues when the victim began calling the arrestee a "little boy". Ms.*** stated that Mr.*** then threw a roll of tape at Mr.*** and pushed him into a drying machine. Ms.*** further stated that Mr.*** was holding a red in color small folding knife unfolded in his hand. When asked, the victim stated he was never at any point holding a knife. Upon speaking with Mr.***, he stated their was a heated argument between him and the victim Mr.***. Mr.*** admitted he did throw a roll of tape and push the victim into the a machine. Lastly, Mr.*** stated he did see a silver object which appeared to be a knife in his hand. Mr.*** did state that Mr.*** made no threat with the knife towards him. Mr. *** was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct city charge 106-81.1 and 106-81.3 and transported to city of Atlanta jail. Mr.*** did not have any kind of knife on his person.

CURRAN ST NW
On 11-09-12 at 1317 hrs, I responded to **** Curran St NW on information on a larceny. When I arrived I spoke with the victims, ***, who stated that their credit and debit cards were stolen by a relative, ***. Mrs. *** stated that on 07-05-12, she received several calls from her credit card companies about numerous transactions made that day. Ms. *** stated that when she went to the drawer where she kept her cards, she noticed that they were missing. Mrs. *** stated that the transactions on her cards were made in Griffin, GA, and that she currently has an open case with Investigator Tony Little (770) 467-5430 from the Spalding County Sheriff's Dept. Mrs. *** stated that the Well's Fargo debit card, which was stolen, was in her name, and the Capital One credit card, Chase Slate VISA card, and the Chase AARP credit card were in Mr. *** name. The suspect is ***, w/f, and currently resides in Griffin, GA.

ETHEL ST NW
On November 10, 2012 at *** Ethel street I responded to a dispute with a weapon by the Women Center. Upon arrival I approached *** and she stated *** maced her in the face. Ms. *** stated she was laying down outside the women's center and Ms. *** approached her. Ms. *** stated Ms. *** scared her and she pulled out her knife thats when Ms. *** maced her in the face. I officer Davis detained Ms. *** to further my investigation and find the other involved party. I then approached Ms. *** and she stated Ms. *** tried to stab her. Ms. *** stated that she approached Ms. *** trying to be friendly and introduce herself. Ms. *** stated Ms. *** started getting very boisterous cursing and calling her names. Ms. *** stated Ms. *** said she had something for her and pulled out a knife. Ms. *** stated Ms. *** lounged at her then she stepped back and maced Ms. *** in the face. Ms. *** was charged with Aggravated Assault and was seen by grady for the mace in her eyes. Ms. *** tried to show me where the weapon was, but couldn't locate the weapon. Ms. *** was given a case number for her records.

1025 HOWELL MILL RD NW
I responded to a theft from vehicle call at the location of 1025 Howell Mill RD NW; LaFonda Mexican Restaurant; at approximately 2330 hours. I arrived at the location to find the driver of a black Ford Expedition sitting inside of the vehicle. The driver, Ms. ***, stated that she parked the vehicle in the rear parking lot area of the restaurant's location. Ms. *** stated that someone broke into the vehicle by breaking out the glass of the rear passenger side, behind the driver's seat. I observed the vehicle and noticed there was a GPS Navigation system mounted on the front windshield and a COACH Designer purse, opened and sitting on the front passenger side of the vehicle. I asked Ms. *** what was taken from the vehicle and she stated only an HP laptop inside of a black leather case with a Verizon Wireless Air-Card; both belonging to her company employer. She stated that the stolen items were in the rear seat of the vehicle. I asked Ms. *** if she had left the GPS System and her purse inside of the vehicle in their current position of plain view and she stated yes. I observed that the GPS System and the purse, both sitting in plain view and belonging to Ms *** were untouched as she stated, but the company's laptop which was supposed to be in the rear of the vehicle out of plain view and which was hard to view due to very dark tint on the vehicle, were stolen. I attempted to dust for fingerprints on the vehicle and was only able to lift a faint, possible print. There were no cameras on the property and there were no serial numbers collected for the stolen property. A report was taken per Ms. *** request and she was given a copy of the incident case number.

ATLANTIC DR NW
On 11/11/2012 around 1:40pm, I responded to a hit and run call at the location of *** Atlantic Drive. Upon arrival, I was met by Mr. *** who advised that he noticed that his vehicle had damage on the front panel on the driver side of his vehicle. Mr. *** advised that he also noticed that there was a vehicle across the street, parked in the drive way at **** Atlantic Drive with matching damage on the rear bumper. The vehicle in question is a gray Ford Explorer and the vehicle had damage (blue paint transfer) on the rear passenger side bumper which matched the color of his vehicle. Mr. *** advised that he approached the owner of the vehicle and asked her about the damage and she advised that she was not responsible. Mr. *** states that she left her home shortly after they spoke. Mr. *** advised that he took pictures of the damage of both vehicles and was able to get the tag in the photo. Mr. *** also alleges that she may have been intoxicated because her mail box was knocked over and he suspects that the damage was done by her vehicle as well. The owner of the gray 2005 Ford Explorer is *** and she resides at **** Atlantic Drive. Ms. *** had not returned to the location for questioning; however, while I was on scene, I observed the mailbox on the ground, the photo depicting the paint transfer and the damage of Mr. *** vehicle. Mr. *** states that he did not observe Ms. *** driving the vehicle nor did he witness the accident occur.

626 14TH ST
On November 12, 2012 at approximately 6:38 pm I, Officer Miller observed the suspect Mr. Andwele Williams perform acts of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, I observed the suspect, Mr. Andwele Williams harass customers inside of the Krystal's fast food restaurant. The management stated she observed the suspect consuming alcohol inside the premises. He was asked to leave a number of times by the staff and management of the facility but he refused. Upon approach, I immediately noticed what appeared to be a strong odor of alcohol from his body and breath. The suspect was apprehended and charged with disorderly conduct while under the influence(10-9).

HEMPHILL AVE NW
On 11-13-12, at 1212 hrs, I responded to 1105 Northside Dr NW on damage to property. When I arrived I spoke with the victim, ***, who stated that her vehicle was damaged from her ex-girlfriend, ***. Ms. *** stated that at about 1200 hrs, she was working out at a church on Ponce De Leon Ave NE. Ms. *** stated that Ms. *** arrived needed the keys to her car because she had some items she needed to put in the vehicle. Ms. *** stated that after she left the church, she smelled an odor of gasoline inside her vehicle. Ms. *** stated that as she drove away, she noticed that Ms. *** was following her. Ms. *** stated that as she drove, she called a friend because she was scared. Ms. *** stated that when she arrived at her friend's location at **** Hemphill Ave NW, Ms. *** exited her vehicle and approached her vehicle with a bat. Ms. *** began striking Ms. *** vehicle with the bat, smashing in the driver's side window, then breaking out the rear passenger window, behind the driver. After Ms. *** broke out the rear window, she stuck a pistol inside the car, then shot at the other door. Ms. *** stated while the incident occurred, she was on the phone with, ***. After Ms. *** shot inside the vehicle, she left the scene. Ms. *** is described as a black female, 6'1", athletic build, with long dreads. Investigator Mitchell, unit #5530, came out to the scene. Sgt. Hall was notified of the incident. ID Tech L. Jenkins, unit #7336, came out to process the scene, and recovered the spent 9mm shell casing, which was sent over to the GBI. Ms. *** was not injured during the incident.

Supplemental report: I, Investigator J. Barnett, received a phone call at the Zone 5 CID Precinct on 11/13/2012 from the suspect. Suspect identified herself as ***. Ms. *** gave a call back number of (---. Suspect wanted to know if arrest warrants had been issued for her arrest. Ms. *** also stated that the incident had been a "mistake" and "misunderstanding" and that she had fired the gun "accidently." I advised Ms. *** that Investigator Mitchell, the Investigator handling the case, would return her call. The telephone conversation was short and, the conversation was not recorded.

On November 13, 2012 I Ofc. R. Dobler was dispatched to **** Lyle Pl. for a Theft from Vehicle. Upon arrival I met with Mr. ***. Mr. *** advised that he parked his vehicle in the drive way at the given location at approximately 2000 hours on November 12, 2012. Mr. *** stated that he then returned to his vehicle on November 13, 2012 at approximately 1300 hours. Mr. *** advised that he noticed that his GPS was missing along with his change cup. Mr. *** could not advise if he locked his door or not. There was no damage to his vehicle. CID was advised on the incident. There was no video of the incident, I was able to lift finger prints from the vehicle. Mr. *** maybe contacted at ---.

ON 11/13/2012, AT APPROXIMATELY 1616 HOURS, I (OFC. L. GRIFFIN #3599) WAS CONTACTED BY THE VICTIM- MR. *** AT THE CNN PRECINCT, IN REGARDS TO AN INFORMATION ONLY REPORT- LARCENY FROM VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, MR. *** ADVISED THAT TODAY, NOVEMBER 13TH, HE WAS AN APPARENT VICTIM OF A LARCENY FROM VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT OF LA FONDA'S RESTAURANT: 1025 HOWELL MILL ROAD NW., WHERE HIS PROPERTY WAS REMOVED FROM. MR. *** STATED THAT AFTER DEPARTING HIS CLIENT'S BUSINESS WITH HIS BELONGINGS IN TOW, HE DECIDED TO LEAVE HIS LAPTOP INSIDE OF HIS VEHICLE, BEHIND THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT. MR. *** RECALLS RETURNING BACK TO HIS VEHICLE, AT APPROXIMATELY 1200 HOURS AFTER DROPPING HIS CLIENT BACK OFF AT HIS BUSINESS AND RETURNING HOME TO HIS OFFICE IN ALPHARETTA, GA. ONCE HOME AT APPROXIMATELY 1230 HOURS, MR. *** RETRIEVED HIS LAPTOP BAG FROM THE BACKSEAT IN ADDITION TO NOTICING BOTH ZIPPERS WERE UNSECURED AND THE LAPTOP WAS MISSING. UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE ON THE VEHICLE, THE VICTIM DECIDED TO SEARCH THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN HIS SEARCH. THE VICTIM STATED THAT SINCE HE AND HIS CLIENT DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING UNUSUAL, THE VICTIM DECIDED NOT TO CONTACT POLICE, WHILE AT LA FONDA'S RESTAURANT. MR. *** CLAIMS THAT HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO CONTACT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT VIA PHONE TO FILE A POLICE REPORT, SINCE HE WAS ALREADY HOME IN ALPHARETTA, GA. THE VICTIM FURTHER ADVISED THAT HE'S OKAY WITH THE REPORT, AS HE COULD NOT RETURN TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME, TO FILE A POSSIBLE THEFT FROM VEHICLE REPORT. MR. *** MISSING PROPERTY IS A SILVER APPLE MACBOOK PRO LAPTOP (SERIAL # C02H50M1DYR1) AND HAS FILED THIS INFO ONLY REPORT FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES. THE VICTIM HAS ALSO CLAIMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DAMAGED AND SHOWED NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTRY, WITH NOTHING FURTHER. LT. PADGETT (#3591) WAS INFORMED OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED AS WELL AS CONVERTED THIS THEFT FROM VEHICLE REPORT TO AN INFO ONLY REPORT, INSTEAD. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES AT THIS TIME AND NOTHING ELSE FOLLOWS. END OF REPORT.

ATLANTIC DR NW
On November 13, 2012 I Ofc R. Dobler was dispatched to 14th St and State St. for a disorderly person call. I was dispatched to The Taste of New York Restraunt which advised that they had a black male that was acting in a disorderly manner towards employees and customers by yelling at them and saying that he was going to take them home. The Taste of New York Employees advised that the black male had a black and white plaid shirt on with black pants. The Taste of New York Employees also advised that he the black male was approximately 35 years of age and also had a short black beard. The Taste of New York Employees advised that the black male had a 24 oz Alcoholic Beverage called Steele Reserve. The Taste of New York Employees stated that he then left the location before I arrived. I then received a call from dispatch to Jimmie Johns restraunt at the same location. Jimmie John employees advised that a black male with a black and white plaid shirt, black pants and a short beard was being extremely vagrant at there location. Jimmie John employees advised that the black male was extremely drunk. Jimmie John employees advised that the black male had left the location before I arrived on scene. Jimmie John employees advised that he headed toward the Citgo at the intersection of 14th and Atlantic Dr. Unit 3503 Ofc. Chester and My self searched the area of 14th and Atlantic Dr. around the Citgo. When we came across a black male meeting the exact description given by witnesses. The black male was located at **** Atlantic Dr. The black male was later identified as Mr. Anduele R. Williams. Mr. Williams was seen on the front porch of **** Atlantic Dr. no one was home at this private residence at this time. Mr. Williams had with in his arms reach a 24oz can of Steele Reserve an Alcoholic Beverage. Mr. Williams also had a strong odor of Alcoholic Beverage coming from his breath. The residence of **** Atlantic Dr. arrived home during our investigation. The residence advised Ofc. Chester that they did not know Mr. Williams and had never been seen before. I asked Mr. Williams what he was doing on the front porch of the residence. Mr. Williams advised that he was smoking weed on the front porch. I asked Mr. Williams where the Marijuana was, he advised that he had smoked it all up. There was no evidence of Marijuana on or about Mr. Williams. Mr. Williams was then placed in custody with Charges of Prowling 16-11-36 and Public Intoxication 16-11-41. Mr. Williams was placed in custody and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident. CID was advised on the incident.

14TH ST NW
On November 13th 2012, I Officer C. McGhee III responded to *** 14th St on a reported Theft from Auto. Upon my arrival, I spoke with Mr. *** who advised that his blue 2001 Dodge Neon, Ga Tag BYS4138 was broken into. The rear driver side window was broken. Mr. *** advised that his black Toshiba laptop was missing from the back seat. Mr. *** stated that he parked his vehicle at the location in the parking lot around 8:30pm. Upon his return at 11:30pm, Mr. *** was advised that the back window to his vehicle was broken. Upon further inspection, Mr. *** realized that the window was broken and items were missing. I checked the area for clues but was unable to locate anything of importance. There were no security cameras in the area and the lighting in the area was poor. I was unable to lift a latent print from the vehicle. I provided Mr. *** with a copy of the incident report number and advised him how to obtain a copy of the report. At the time of this incident, there was nothing further to advised.

On November 14th 2012, I Officer C. McGhee III responded to *** 14th St on a reported Damage to Property. Upon my arrival, I spoke with Ms. *** who advised that her white 2005 Ford Focus, Ga Tag AHT2651 driver side rear window was busted. Ms. *** advised that nothing was taken. Ms. *** stated that she parked the vehicle at the location in the parking lot around 9:30pm. Upon her return at 12:30am, Ms. *** advised that her rear driver side window was busted but nothing of value was taken. I checked the area for clues but was unable to locate anything of importance. There was a security camera in the area but at this time I am unsure if the camera was working at the time of the incident. I provided Ms. *** with a copy of the incident report number and advised how to obtain a copy of the report. At the time of this incident, there was nothing further to report.

HOWELL MILL RD NW
ON NOVEMBER 15TH, 2012, OFFICER K. CRAWFORD WAS DISPATCHED TO A CALL AT *** HOWELL MILL ROAD. UPON ARRIVAL, OFFICER CRAWFORD WAS MET BY MS. ***. MS. *** STATED THAT ON NOVEMBER 14TH 2012 AT APPROXIMATELY 07:00 PM, SHE LEFT HER ROOM TO CHECK IN WITH THE STAFF AT THE SHELTER. MS. *** FURTHER STATED THAT SHE REMEMBERED LEAVING THE PHONE ON HER PILLOW AS SHE LEFT THE ROOM, AND WHEN SHE RETURNED AT APPROXIMATELY 07:20 PM, THE PHONE WAS GONE. MS. *** SEARCHED HER ROOM AND BELONGINGS LOOKING FOR THE PHONE, BUT COULD NOT FIND THE PHONE. MS. *** INITIALLY CONTACTED METROPCS, WHO RECOMMENDED THAT SHE FILE A POLICE REPORT FOR THE PHONE. MS. *** THEN CALLED 911 TO REPORT THE PHONE MISSING.

2012-11-15 17:05
14TH ST NW
On 11/15/12 at 4:52 p.m. I responded to an accident at the corner of 14th Street and Fowler Street. There I met one of the drivers who identified himself as Fausto Leonel Garcia. Fausto who is a hispanic male, about 5'06" in height, and weighing around 137 pounds stated he was traveling south on Techwood Drive just before its intersection with 14th Street when he made contact with another vehicle. When asked for proof of insurance and a driver's license, Fausto produced a copy of the insurance but was unable to provide the police with a driver's license. A check on ACIC revealed that Fausto was no licensed. Fausto was arrested and charged accordingly. He was later transported to the city jail to await a hearing. The vehicle he was driving, a 1995 Nissan Altima, cream in color, with a Georgia tag 7960AAM, was impounded by A-Tow.

1198 HOWELL MILL RD NW
On 11/16/12 at 5:03 p.m. I SPO. Bunyan responded to an accident at 14th Street and Howell Mill Road. There I encountered a driver involved in the accident, Mr. Lawrence Mungai. When asked for a driver's license, Mr. Mungai stated he was unlicensed. A check on ACIC confirmed that he was indeed not licensed and he had a valid warrant#0190887A out of Cobb County for stolen property. Mr. Mungai was arrested and charged accordingly. He was transported to the City Jail to await a hearing. The vehicle which is a 2003 Ford Escape, red in color, with a Georgia tag 1116ABF was released to the owner, Mr. Luis Guzman.

On November 17, 2012 I was dispatched to the parking lot of 529 10th Street NW on a vandalism call. Upon arrival I met with Mr. *** who stated that he parked his vehicle a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe in the parking lot at approximately 5:30 pm and returned to the vehicle at approximately 5:45 pm on 11/17/2012 and found the paint chipped just under the driver side door handle as if someone was trying to break into the vehicle. Mr. *** stated that there were no items missing out of the vehicle. There is nothing further to report.

On November 18, 2012 I Ofc. R. Dobler was dispatched to 365 14th St for a vandalism call. Upon arrival I met with Mr. ***. Mr. *** advised that he parked his vehicle a approximately 1500 and returned to his vehicle a approximately 1530. Mr. *** advised that some one told him that a vehicle with license plate PN: JBF 8839 may have struck his vehicle. Mr. *** advised that he did not know what type or color the vehicle was that may have struck his vehicle. Mr. *** had minor damage to his rear bumper. Mr. *** was given the incident number.

1170 HOWELL MILL RD
Driver 2 was stopped in the drive way at 1170 Howell Mill Rd NW when Driver 1 attempted to pass him on the Left side. As Driver 1 passed Driver 2 he struck Driver 2 in the 10 o'clock position with the 1 o'clock position of his vehicle and then fled the scene last seen traveling East bound on 14th St NW. A look out for Driver 1 was given by radio look out number 12014415. Driver 1 stated he was not injured and would have his own wrecker remove his vehicle. A copy of the case number was given to Driver 1. Security at the location advised a camera may have captured the incident however I was unable to view the tape at the time.

Driver 2 was stopped in the drive way at 1170 Howell Mill Rd NW when Driver 1 attempted to pass him on the Left side. As Driver 1 passed Driver 2 he struck Driver 2 in the 10 o'clock position with the 1 o'clock position of his vehicle and then fled the scene last seen traveling East bound on 14th St NW. A look out for Driver 1 was given by radio look out number 12014415. Driver 1 stated he was not injured and would have his own wrecker remove his vehicle. A copy of the case number was given to Driver 1. Security at the location advised a camera may have captured the incident however I was unable to view the tape at the time. THIS IS A SUPPLEMENT REPORT TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT On 11/19/2012 at approximately 1140hrs I met with Mr.*** who stated that he was still upset about someone hitting his vehicle last night and just driving, so he returned back to the seen at 1158 Howell Mill Rd in search for the suspect vehicle (White Lexus, with front right bumper damage). Upon his search he located a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle with a georgia tag number of PHB6733. Mr.*** further stated that some of the witness that were on scene with his vehicle was hit stated that the driver (male suspect unknown) and the passenger (***) where seen leaving Buck's Bakery and getting into the suspect vehicle, and hitting Mr.*** vehicle and then driving off, leaving the scene. I spoke with Ms. *** who stated that she does not recall what happened last night (11/18/2012) but she let her friend driver her vehicle and when she got to work this morning at Buck's Bakery, she never noticed the damaged to her front right bumper. Ms. *** also gave her insurance information to pay for the victim's vehicle damage.

1025 HOWELL MILL RD
ON NOVEMBER 19TH, 2012, OFFICER K. CRAWFORD WAS DISPATCHED TO A CALL AT 1025 HOWELL MILL ROAD, THE LAFONDA LATINA PARKING LOT. UPON ARRIVAL, OFFICER CRAWFORD WAS MET BY MR. ***. MR. *** STATED THAT HIS VEHICLE HAD BEEN VANDALIZED WHILE HE WAS HAVING LUNCH AT THE LOCATION. MR. *** SHOWED OFFICER CRAWFORD DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLES. IT APPEARED TO BE A PUNCTURE MADE WITH A SCREWDRIVER IN AN ATTEMPTED TO PRY THE DOOR HANDLES OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ENTERED. THE SUSPECT DID LEAVE A LARGE DENT UNDER THE KEY HOLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. NO FINGERPRINTS COULD BE LIFTED, AND THERE WERE NO VIDEO CAMERAS IN THE AREA.

1100 HOWELL MILL RD NW
At approximately 1828 hours on 11/19/12 I was parked in the parking lot of the Texaco Station at the intersection of Northside Dr NW and 14th St NW when I observed a white in color Toyota Camry GA tag BTH7459 traveling Northbound on Northside Dr NW in the far left lane. I observed the vehicle had a burnt out head light on the driverside of the vehicle. I pulled out behind the vehicle to conduct a traffic stop as the vehicle turned Left and traveled West bound on 14th St NW. I turned on my blue lights and the Camry contunued to travel West bound on 14th St NW until it stopped in the driveway of 1100 Howell Mill Rd NW. Before exiting my patrol vehicle I ran its tag on my MDT. My MDT advised the vehicle had no valid insurance coverage. I exited may vehicle and spoke to the driver, Tiniquewa McGruder (B/F) (DOB 2/19/89) of 217 Pine St NW (GA OLN 053455182), advising her as to the reason for the traffic stop. McGruder advised the vehicle should be insured and handed me an All State Insurance Company card with and expiration date of 11/22/12. I advised her to be sure I about the insurance status I would call All Stated insurance myself to verify coverage. I then asked her for her drivers license. McGruder provided me with a Georgia CP license. I asked her if there was a licensed driver in the vehicle and she advised no. The passenger in the vehicle spoke up and advised that her license was suspended so she was unable to be the licensed driver required by law. I returned to my patrol vehicle where I was able to verify the vehicle was uninsured by calling All State Insurance Company and well as verifying the status on ACIC. McGruder was also verified as having a valid class CP license on ACIC. I notified Sgt. Schapker, 3594, that the vehicle I stopped was not showing as having valid insurance on ACIC as well as when I called All State. Premission was given to impound the vehicle. McGruder was cited accordingly with O.C.G.A. 40-8-22 Burnt out Headlight (Driverside), 40-6-10 Driving a Vehicle without Valid Insurance, and 40-5-24 Driving in Violation of License Class Restriction. As soon as I verified there was no valid insurance on the vehicle I informed McGruder that I would have to impound the vehicle and to make arrangements to for transport from 1100 Howell Mill Rd NW. When A-Tow arrived the passenger insisted the vehicle had valid insurance. I re-ran the tag on my MDT several time but still received the same response that the vehicle was uninsured. The passenger request a supervisor to come to the scene. Sgt. Schapker was notified and arrived on scene to speak with the passenger. After running the tag one last time on my MDT I recieved the same response that the vehicle had no valid insurance. The vehicle was impounded and removed by A-Tow. A copy of the impound sheet was given to McGruder. McGruder and her passengers were left at the location near "Yeah Burger" as it was a place of safety. The vehicle was also placed on ACIC3 as impounded

608 14TH ST NW
On November 21, 2012 I Ofc. R. Dobler was sitting in the parking lot of 608 14th St. When I attempted to run the tag on my MDT of a Black Ford Explorer at the intersection of Northside Dr at 14th St. I was unable to make out any of the letters or numbers of the vehicle due to a cover that was over the license plate that was tinted when looking at it from an angle. I then performed a traffic stop in my marked patrol car at the intersection of 17th St. and Northside Dr. I was then able to run the plates once I had the vehicle pulled over. Which was LA: OFZ924. I asked the Driver for his drivers license. I immediately noticed that the driver handed me a Identification Card of a Mr. Starvorus Pierce. I asked Mr. Pierce again for a drivers license. Mr. Pierce advised that he did not have one as the State of Georgia denied him one as his Drivers License in Louisiana was suspended. I then placed Mr. Pierce in handcuffs in the back of my patrol car. I ran the license plate on ACIC1 which advised that the license plate was not coming back on file and did not exist. I then ran the VIN number out of Louisiana on ACIC1. ACIC1 advised that the VIN number was not coming back out of Louisiana but out of Georgia. I ran Mr. Pierce on ACIC1. ACIC1 advised that Mr. Pierce had a suspended drivers license LA:8824624 out of Louisiana and was denied by the State of Georgia when he applied for a Georgia drivers license. Mr. Pierce was arrested for Concealing Identity of Vehicle 40-2-7, Plate Covered 40-2-8 and Driving While Suspended 40-5-121. The Vehicle was released to Mr. Andre Patterson OLN: 049219058. Mr. Pierce was transported by unit 3517 to the Atlanta City Jail.

On November 22nd 2012, I Officer C. McGhee III responded to **** Curran St on a reported Disturbance Call. Dispatch advised that a female caller advised that there was a white male standing at her front door. Upon my arrival, I spotted a white male walking away from the listed location. I asked the white male, later identified as Mr. Calvin Hersom "if he lived at the location or if he knew anyone who lived at the residence?" Mr. Hersom advised "no he did not." A strong smell of alcohol could be detected coming from his person. Mr. Hersom responses where very delayed. While speaking with Mr. Hersom the female caller, Ms. *** step out and advised that Mr.Hersom was the individual beating at her door. At that time Mr. Hersom was detained until further investigation could be conducted. Ms. *** stated that Mr. Hersom walked up to her door and knock but never stated who he was. Ms. *** then advised that Mr. Hersom begin looking around for something then knocked again. That's when Ms. *** advised she called the Police. Mr. Hersom stated that he was dropped of at the location and told that someone was waiting for him. When asked who dropped him off and why, at that time he could not clearly advise. Mr. Hersom was arrested and charged with Disorderly Under the Influence. He was transported to city jail. At the time of this incident, there was nothing further to report.

ON OCTOBER 22ND 2012, OFFICER K. CRAWFORD WAS DISPATCHED TO A CALL AT 921 HOWELL MILL ROAD. UPON ARRIVAL, OFFICER CRAWFORD WAS MET BY MS. ***. MS. *** STATED THAT SOMEONE HAD ENTERED HER VAN PARKED AT THE ATLANTA UNION MISSION AND TAKEN A NUMBER OF ITEMS. MS. *** STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GATED LOT OF THE UNION MISSION, AND WAS UNTOUCHED WHEN SHE WENT IN THE VEHICLE ON 11/20/2012. MS. *** FURTHER STATED THAT WHEN SHE WENT TO THE VEHICLE ON 11/21/2012, SHE NOTICED A NUMBER OF ITEMS MISSING, BUT THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTRY. MS. *** STATED THAT SHE MET WITH HER SOCIAL WORKER TO DISCUSS THE SITUATION AND THE SOCIAL WORKER THEN RECOMMENDED MS. *** CALL THE POLICE TO MAKE A REPORT. MS. *** CALLED OFFICERS OUT ON 11/22/2012. NO PRINTS COULD BE GATHERED, AND THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTRY ON THE VEHICLE.

On November 24 2012 I (Officer West) was dispatched to a Larceny Sudden Snatch at **** Hemphill Ave. When I arrived at the location I spoke to the victim (Ms. ***) and she advised that she arrived at the above location at 11:15am for work and at 11:34am a light skinned black male came in and snatched her cell phone and ran out of the location. On November 24th 2012, I Officer C. McGhee III responded to **** Hampton St on a reported Damage to Property. Upon my arrival, I spoke with Mr. *** who stated that someone threw a rock into his kitchen window. Mr. *** was unsure of when the incident could have happen. Mr. *** stated he left his residence on 11/22/2012 for the holiday break. Upon his return on 11/24/2012, he realized that the kitchen window was busted from a rock being thrown through it. I asked Mr. *** to walk through the house and advise if anything else had been damaged or taken. Mr. *** stated that to his knowledge, nothing was out of place or gone. I provided Mr. *** with a copy of the incident report number and advised how to obtain a copy of the report. At the time of this incident, there was nothing further to report.

On November 25th 2012, I Officer C. McGhee III responded *** 11th St on a reported Theft from Auto. Upon my arrival, I spoke with Mr. *** who advised that his 2005 burgundy GMC Yukon, Ga Tag BGZ5206 was broken into. Mr. *** advised that his radio was taken. Mr. *** stated that he parked his vehicle at the location in the parking lot around 10:00pm. Upon his return at 3:00am, Mr. *** noticed that the driver side door handle was damaged. Upon further inspection, he noticed that his radio was missing. Mr. *** advised that the radio was the only thing missing from the vehicle. I checked the area for clues but was not able to locate anything of importance. The lighting in the area was poor and there were not security cameras in the area. Because of the condition of the door handle, I was not able to lift any latent prints from the vehicle. I provided Mr. *** with a copy of the incident report number and advised him how to obtain a copy of the report. At the time of this incident, there was nothing further to report.

On November 25, 2012 I Ofc. R. Dobler was dispatched to 1025 Howell Mill La Fonda Restaurant for a vehicle larceny. Upon arrival I met with Mr. ***. Mr. *** advised that he parked his vehicle at approximately 1900 in the La Fonda Parking lot. Mr. *** stated that he returned to his vehicle at approximately 1945. Mr. *** immediately noticed damage to his 2012 Kia Soul as the driver side passenger window was broken out. Mr. *** advised that his book bag with his computer and books was taken. Mr. *** advised that he did not have any type of tracking on the computer. There was no video of the incident, however I was able to get finger prints from the door. CID 5535 was advised on the incident. Mr. *** was given the incident number. Mr. *** maybe contact at ---.
