Joint APD and Israeli Security Drill - Sunday at the Consulate General's Office

The Atlanta Police Department will assist the Atlanta Consulate General of Israel with an internal security drill on Sunday, November 24, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.  

This drill has been coordinated with the Atlanta Police Department and the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service and will be held within the confines of the consulate. 

The Consulate located in Midtown Atlanta will be closed to the public during the exercise.

"Although the public may notice minor police activity and/or the presence of police vehicles, we expect that this training exercise will have little if any impact on traffic," reports the Atlanta Police Department.  

This advisory is just to alert residents in the area who may see or hear activity.  There is no need to be alarmed or to call 9-1-1.
