Krystal at 14th Street and Northside Drive Robbed Overnight

Police continue to look for the suspects who robbed the Krystal restaurant at gunpoint.

Atlanta Police Zone 5 investigators are looking for two suspects who reportedly robbed the Krystal fast-food restaurant located at 14th Street and Northside Drive around 3:30 a.m., Tuesday morning.

According to Atlanta Police Capt. Tim Peek, who spoke to 11Alive cameras from the scene, "two men walked into the restaurant, pulled a weapon on 3 of the workers and ordered them to empty the cash register and they entered the dropbox."  Captain Peek says that once the suspects received the stolen items they, "fled on foot, last seen going westbound on 14th Street."

APD Public Affairs Officer Kim Jones, said that, "the suspects were able to take approximately $800.00 before fleeing." She also informed Midtown Patch that there were no surveillance cameras at the location.

No one was reported as hurt or assaulted inside the business, but one employee was taken to the hospital due to stress.

The police said that they are looking for a tall black male with tattoos on his face and a short black male with a blue colored hoodie. No one was found in the area that fit the description, so the police are continuing to investigate the crime and search for the suspects.
