Man Arrested for Public Indecency in Midtown

Incident happened at Peachtree and 12th streets on Monday.

A man was arrested Monday morning in Midtown for public indencency and blocking traffic, according to Col. Wayne Mock, public safety manager with Midtown Blue.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at Peachtree and 12th streets, not long after the  was cleared down the street. 

"He just took his clothes off and got in the middle of the intersection," Mock said. Midtown Blue caught the incident on their camera system and alerted officers.

The video shows the man completely naked and wiggling his body in the middle of the street, near the . His clothes were left in a pile in the middle of the street.

Officers covered the man in garbage bags before placing him in custody, Mock said. He said the man was transported to the psychiatric ward at Grady Memorial Hospital.

"He needs psychiatric help," Mock said.
