The man, who appeared to be in his early 20s and has not been identified, was originally transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in “extremely critical condition.”

The apartments entrance shares the same parking lot that contains the local landmark Kroger grocery store, which has a not-so-endearing reputation due in part to a murder that took place in the parking lot a decade ago.

One resident pointed in the direction of the front rightside of the breezeway as to where the incident was concentrated. Another woman said there was "lots of blood" and "it smelled."
