Police Release Photos of Robbery Suspects

Atlanta police this week released surveillance photos of two men suspected in an in Midtown. 

The incident occurred Jan. 3 at the parking deck of the Tenside Apartments on Northside Drive. 

A male Georgia Tech student and a female, identified as Jeffrey Portman and Virginia Beasley, told police they were robbed after parking their vehicles.

"The victims advised officers that they had just parked when a vehicle pulled up near them and the passenger got out and robbed them," police spokesman Officer John Chafee said in a release. "The victims told police that the suspect pulled a gun and demanded that they give up everything. The suspect took a number of items and fled in the vehicle."

Within hours of the robbery, the two suspects were caught on camera trying to use one of the victim's credit cards at Yaril’s Grocery on James P Brawley Drive.
