Atlanta police say a second suspect has not been located as of early Wednesday afternoon during the crime that occurred in a parking lot adjacent to the Hot Beats Recording Studio at 1200 Spring Street just north of 14th Street.

According to APD Officer Gregory Lyon, the high-profile singer, who attended North Atlanta High School, was approached shortly after 8:30 p.m. by two black males wearing gray hooded sweatshirts and armed with a gun. Wilson complied with the robbers and allowed them to leave in his red 2013 Bentley.

A lieutenant working off-duty heard the radio lookout and quickly located the Bentley abandoned at the nearby Arts Center MARTA station. APD Zone 5 units canvassed the station and located one of the suspects, who was positively identified by the victim and witnesses.

The singer, whose estimated net worth is $6 million, is known for his 2005 hit “Slow Down” among others.

Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted that was thankful that he wasn’t killed: “GOD saved me last night.. Thank u Lord life is so precious&we take it 4 granted!! Everything u wanna do, DO IT!pray&be thankful 4 wht u hav!”
