Second Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting on Ponce de Leon

Graham Sisk was gunned down in his car at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Moreland in October.

Atlanta police have arrested a 51-year-old man in the brazen daylight killing of a man in his vehicle this past fall, according to a news release.

Denorris Turner was arrested Monday and charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault and Criminal Attempt in the killing of Graham Sisk, 23.

The Atlanta Police Department said Turner was transported to the DeKalb County Jail, where he was being held Monday night.

Turner is the second man to be arrested in the crime. In November, police arrested Shaheed K. Huff, 30, in Lithonia and charged him with felony murder and aggravated assault with a weapon.

Sisk was killed Oct. 5 in the afternoon shooting at the busy intersection, shocking many in the Virginia-Highland/Druid Hills and nearby Midtown communites.

Atlanta police said soon after that they believed that Sisk was targeted by his attackers and that the crime was not random.

According to APD, Sisk was traveling northbound on Moreland Ave approaching Ponce De Leon when "suspects approached him and fired multiple times. ...It appears that there may be two suspect vehicles and multiple suspects involved."

Monday's release about Turner's arrest said that witnesses told police that before the shooting, there had been "an altercation that began further west on Moreland Ave. with the victim and the occupant or occupants of an older model Ford or Chevrolet pick- up truck that was described as either dark blue or black."
