Should Students Carry Guns on Campus?

Some Tech students are raising the question. What are your thoughts?

In light of recent crimes around Georgia Tech, some students are rallying for the right to arm themselves on campus.

State law currently bans students from carrying handguns at colleges and universities.

But recent incidents including have prompted the Georgia Tech College Republicans to organize a demonstration today with Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, according to the AJC.

A Tech student was yesterday morning in the Home Park neighborhood. Other recent crimes include an and at least in October.

The demonstration will "deliver facts about conceal carry," says a Facebook post. The event is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday near the student center.
