The half-brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was shot and killed near a Charleston, S.C.-area nightclub early Saturday morning.

Tyrone Moore, Jr., 21, of Charleston, was killed outside the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach in James Island after 2 a.m. Saturday, May 17, the Charleston Post and Courier reported.

Witnesses told Charleston County deputies “some type of altercation” led to multiple gunshots, the newspaper reported.

Moore was pronounced dead at the hospital. No suspects have been identified.

Moore and White were raised by their mother, Joenethia White, in James Island, and Moore lived with White for several years in Atlanta, the Post and Courier reported.

Moore attended Mill Creek Hill School near Dacula, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank released a statement that included:

“On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.”

I have heard some of the racist, bigoted comments White has made though the years, so why does it not surprise me that his half brother is shot outside some thug-ridden night club doing what thugs do best? The end is always befitting those who just cannot seem to get past the thug culture. Same ole story...different day.

Tom, now is the time to offer condolences to Roddy White. Now is not the appropriate time to bring up Roddy's past comments or to pontificate about the lifestyle his half-brother lived. Just throwing it out there.
