Tech Student Attacked in Home Park

Incident occurred Saturday night.

Atlanta police are looking for two men that tried to rob a Georgia Tech student Saturday night.

A male student told police that he was using his cell phone in a driveway on Atlantic Drive in the Home Park neighborhood around 11:45 p.m. when he was approached by two males from behind, according to an online crime alert.

One of the men tackled the student to the ground and tried to steal his cell phone. The suspects were not able to steal the phone and they fled on foot toward 14th Street.

Police describe the suspects as black males who are between 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 6-feet tall. Both men are bald. They were last seen wearing dark pants. One had a white shirt and the other was shirtless, according to police.
