Atlanta Mayoral Candidate, Al Bartell, Hosts Special Jazz & Politics Listening Tours

As the city readies to elect a Mayor of Atlanta for a brand new term, there is really only one other name despite our current mayor's, that is getting much recognition and media attention.  That is candidate Al Bartell, who on his quest to be the next Atlanta Mayor.  Candidate Al Bartell is holding a series of live jazz performances and listening sessions during the run up to election day to help spread his message.

Renown Atlanta Jazz Vocalize Ja Naan is helping to organize the unique music and politics events for his campaign.

"Jazz used to 'tell the story' in regards to the political culture of the day," recalls Atlanta's popular jazz vocalize Ja Naan.  "Jazz was part of politics -- Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and that era epitomized the role we had with politicians and the hot issues of the day.  Those of us who perform jazz in metro Atlanta, we have the ability to bring that back, and that's what we want to do.  We want to bring jazz back to our culture, back to politics, and connect us again."

As a liaison, Ja Naan has been reaching out to the jazz community in metro Atlanta over the past two years to introduce Mayoral Candidate Al Bartell.

This series of jazz performances is being coordinated by Ja Naan, in the capacity of liaison to the metro Atlanta jazz community, to provide a jazz listening tour for Atlanta Mayoral Candidate Al Bartell.
