Reapportionment Hearing

The 2010 US Census results are now available and the Georgia Legislature will redraw voting districts throughout the state in a special session in August.  We can (and should) influence how these lines are redrawn.   So it is important to be aware of the Reapportionment session on Thursday (tomorrow) afternoon/evening.  This is the only reapportionment meeting in Metro Atlanta and is the last in a series of a dozen hearings throughout the state. The meeting is on West Peachtree near Fifth Street.

There is an on-line schedule for other meetings throughout the state.  These include video from previous sessions, which might be useful to review in preparing for this session.  See http://www1.legis.ga.gov/legis/2011_12/house/Committees/reapportionment/gahlcrCalendarJT.html.
