How Are People Reacting to Michael Adams' Departure?

University of Georgia President Michael Adams is expected to announce at 11 a.m. today that he's leaving.

Our Midtown Patch is home to the Georgia Institute of Technology, so we know there's no great love from those within the Yellow Jacket family for the University of Georgia. But there's no denying what UGA President Michael Adams, who is expected to announce Thursday that he will step down from his position in 2013, has done for the university the last 15 years.

During his time as president, UGA has increased in stature both academically and athletically. The school's rankings have risen, as have donations, grant money and outside funds, and it is now considered one of the country's best public institutions.

So UGA supporters (and you, too, Tech faithful), what's YOUR reaction to Adams stepping down? Tell us in the comments below.

And while we're at it, how would you evaluate the performance of Tech President G.P. "Bud" Peterson, who recently completed his third year as the school's president?
