Registered Voters Encouraged to Verify Voter Status and Precinct Info After Mix-Up

Double check your voter card for the right precinct before heading out to the polls.

This week, Fulton County Registration & Elections mailed approximately 24,000 voter registration cards to voters in the City of Atlanta and East Point.

The majority of voters received cards are in precincts affected by redistricting. Specific Atlanta precincts that received  new cards include 02A, 02J, 08L, 09M, and 06Q. East Point precincts include EP01 and EP03. Cards for voters in Atlanta Precinct 06N were mailed on Tuesday, October 29.

Some voters who will receive cards this week did not receive precinct cards last month due to data errors affecting their assigned precincts.  A very small number of voters (fewer than 500) may have previously received cards that included errors, which will be corrected by their new cards.  Other voters who received correct cards last month will receive duplicate cards with identical, correct information, because any precinct that was affected errors will receive cards in its entirety.

City of Atlanta registered voters are encouraged to verify their voter status and voter precinct information before heading to the polls for early voting or for the general municipal election. Registered voters can verify their information by calling 404-330-6500 or email atlantaelection2013@atlantaga.gov

The City of Atlanta Municipal Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
