Café Intermezzo Could Open Midtown Spot Monday
Dessert and coffeehouse shop will replace Buckhead location.
The planned Café Intermezzo at Midtown's 12th & Peachtree project could open as early as Monday.
A spokeswoman for the popular dessert eatery would not confirm the opening date, but a handwritten note at the new spot projects a March 25 open.
Café Intermezzo owner Brian Olson wanted to be in Midtown, because "Midtown is the heart of Atlanta right now and it's a great location," according to the eatery's marketing manager, Melissa Brown.

Midtown's gain is Buckhead's loss. Café Intermezzo's Buckhead location, which opened in December of 1987, will close.
Brown said the Buckhead location's last day of operation will be the night before the Midtown spot opens for business.
