OK so...yeah...

I've been journaling online (aka blogging) since 2005 over at Live Journal. I have a secret identity over there that allows me to blow chunks at the Atlanta status quo. It is rick_day, but don't tell anyone it's Really me, Rick Day.

So what is this going to all be about, this fresh new blog that, in all probability, will die the same slow death as Live Journal has since the Rooskies took over?

What do I know? Some local politics, but most of it I find disgusting yet interesting, like observing the contents of a toilet bowl the morning after overamping at GA Tech Hotel Buffet on Mexican Day.

Back when I lived (again) in my HomeTown Dallas, TX I was on the board of the MLK community center, acting as token white from the North Side of the Tracks. I have the honor of pissing off THAT board when I sent my council person an email (inside joke: email!!) my concerns that Juneteenth Celebration sponsored by the city had a *bit* too much Christian lean, much to the frowning of Muslim families in the group.

Yeah, that is me. Mr. no subtle tact. Senior "Let's get to the uncomfortable realities, here, shall we?"

So this is why you can trust me. I won't lie to you. I have no agenda, other than keeping my business...busy.
