Performance on the Promenade May 17 and 23

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will offer two free concerts as part of Bank of America's 'Performance on the Promenade' concert series May 17th and 23rd.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will return to Piedmont Park in partnership with the Piedmont Park Conservancy for two free concerts to be offered as part of Bank of America's 'Performance on the Promenade' concert series May 17th and 23rd.

The concerts will be lead by music driector Robert Spano and principal guest conductor Donald Runnicles. The concerts will take place on the promenade and the May 17th concert will mark the first performance in this new space. This will be the Orchestra's first performance here since 2007. 

The ASO has perfomed more than 100 concerts at the park, reaching, many Atlantans through these free concerts. The concerts are a beloved Atlanta tradition and the ASP and Piedmont Park are two of the city's oldest institutions, making an impact on the quality of life in the city.

Admission is free to the public, but tickets for general admission seating are required. Tickets for the May 17th performance will be available on May 3rd, and tickets for the May 23rd performance will be available on May 10th. Visit www.atlantasymphony.org to get your tickets. The capacity for the conerts is 3000 attendees and will be held rain or shine. Doors open 6pm and concerts begin 7.30pm. Seating is first-come-fisrt-serve and aprking on-location is limited. Only blankets and low back chairs are allowd, no pets allowed, and outside food and drink are permitted but not alcohol, grills or glass containers.
