Ed2010 Atlanta to host speaker session July 10th

The Atlanta chapter of Ed2010 will host its third in a series of four quarterly speaker sessions aimed at bringing together the student community and real world magazine editors in the local publishing industry. Scheduled for July 10th, 6.30pm-8.30pm, this third session will feature Nicole Williams as the guest speaker. The venue sponsor for all sessions is the popular co-working space Hypepotamus, located on the Georgia Tech campus. (817 W Peachtree St NW, Suite A-110, Atlanta, GA 30308)

Nicole Williams is the Senior Editor at Little PINK Book, America’s leading resource for leading women into a beautiful career and a beautiful life, where she manages content strategy and development and interviews some of the top women in business. She also appears on CBS Atlanta’s Women Working segment regularly. At Ed2010 Atlanta, Nicole will talk about digital journalism and the emerging trends in that industry.

Food and beverage sponsors for the evening include include Sinless Cocktails, Yum Bunz and Buko Sugar. Giveaways for the evening include copies of the newly released book ‘DARE’ written by Atlanta’s own Scott Weiss. The event is free to attend and open to members of the public. Membership to the group is free as well.

The Atlanta chapter of Ed2010 was established January 2012 by Ruksana Hussain, a metro area freelance writer and editor who works with several local print and online publications. Ed2010 is a community of up and coming magazine editors and writers who want to learn more about the industry and how to land top editing and writing positions. Originally established in New York, the group now has chapters across the USA and Canada.
