Baseball Fields Meeting at City Hall

This is a meeting with Atlanta City Council Members regarding the still unresolved issue of allowing Inman and Grady kids to use the baseball fields in Piedmont Park for their practices.

Piedmont Park is a city park.  The kids make a 45-minute bus ride in peak hour traffic to Crim High School, and then ride back to Grady or Inman after dark. The Piedmont Conservancy and some Council Members (Alex Wan) claim that the use of the Active Oval baseball fields by these children will (a) damage the grass; and (b) require the construction of an additional fence as well as more maintenance of the grounds.

Please show your support as parents and attend this meeting.  Baseball playing children at Morningside, Inman, Grady, and all the surrounding private and charter schools will benefit!  If possible, wear a baseball jersey and/or cap, signs in support, and with positive wording, are welcome too.  Be creative but stay positive.
