Georgia PTA Day at the Capitol

PTA members are invited to celebrate the second century of advocacy by meeting at 9:00 am at the Floyd Room/Floyd State Building for a briefing on legislative issues and advocacy.  At 10:30, there will be an assembly under the Gold Dome for PTA Day at the Capitol.   Administrators, educators, superintendents, school board members, business partners and student leaders are encouraged to attend. To ensure your seat, register early. Remember to WEAR RED.

The highlight of the day will be lunch with the legislators at the Freight Depot beginning at noon. Georgia PTA has notified all the legislators about the lunch, however, a personal invitation from you as a constituent and “local leader” in your community will be the most effective guarantee of their attendance. Go to Capitol Watch at www.georgiapta.org for contact information for your legislators.
