Spotlight on the Craigie House

The Georgia Trust and the Friends of the Craigie House offer an evening lecture on the Craigie House. Built in 1911, this historic house is the former location of Georgia's first chapter house of the Daughters of the American Revolution organization.  It was the second chapter of the DAR established in the country. Reportedly parts of the original Craigie House, which was the Massachusetts State building at the 1895 Cotton States Exposition, were moved to this site from Piedmont Park. The building was used by DAR until 1985 when it was damaged by a fallen tree.  Efforts are underway to purchase the property and restore the house.
