Canning in jars workshops will teach all the basics as well as the full range of products that can be safely water-bath preserved. Detailed instruction along with hands-on involvement is provided. All students will start with the basics (Workshop 100 or 101) and then can select any of the Class 200-Series Workshops (Specialty Canning).
All workshops will be conducted by Lyn Deardorff, a forty-year canner. Lyn holds a Serve Safe Food Safety Certificate as well as a Food Preservation Certificate from the National Food Preservation Center based at the University of Georgia.
