Midtown residents are encouraged to provide input about the hiring of a new school superintendent.

A search firm hired by the Atlanta Public Schools board of education to find the district’s next superintendent of schools is holding a community meeting to hear from the public.

The open forum on Monday, April 11, will be lead by a member of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, the firm hired by the board of education.

The main focus of the meeting will be to “identify the characteristics” of a new superintendent, according a press release from the Atlanta Public Schools.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at APS headquarters in the Center for Learning and Leadership Auditorium, 130 Trinity Ave, SW.
