Ramblin' Wreck Rides for 50 Years

Watch a short history of the Georgia Tech tradition.

Georgia Tech's mascot just turned 50 years old.

The Ramblin' Wreck, a 1930 Ford Model A Cabriolet Sport coupe, has been a Tech tradition since it was introduced Sept. 30, 1961.

The antique car has led the football team onto the field for every home game and rallied students during various campus events. It's also survived an attempted carjacking, vandalism and a wreck that caused $40,000 in repairs, according to the AJC.
