According to an announcement by Ponce City Market, "the Suzuki School is one of the oldest and most respected private preschools in the Southeastern United States." The school serves infants through kindergarten-aged children, preparing them to attend the most competetive schools, according to the school website.

“Environment is a core foundation to the Suzuki philosophy, where the belief is that physical environment plays a critical role in early childhood learning. We’re excited that Ponce City Market’s facilities will allow us to conceive and create - from architectural design through construction - one of the key components in our educational process.”

Ponce City Market officials say that the school will "reside in approximately 20,000 square feet of the two-story building that currently houses the Ponce City Market marketing center and Dancing Goats Coffee Bar."

The other key feature is that there will be a dedicated, covered drop-off point for the school inside the building. The school is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2014.
