Welcome Back, Kids: Centennial Place Elementary is Back in Session

While much of the Atlanta Public Schools district still has a few more weeks before the start of school, the hallways of Centennial Place Elementary were abuzz Monday with sounds of the first-day festivities.

As one of three schools in APS that are year-round, Centennial Place Elementary, which draws students from several neighborhoods, including Midtown, began classes with this year's school theme being "Smart is the new cool."

Midtown Patch was there to capture some of the sights and sounds.
