Another Tech fan falls over Bobby Dodd railing

One week after a man escapes serious injury from 20-foot fall, a Georgia Tech freshman accidentally fell 15 feet during Saturday's home football game.

For the second time in as many Saturday afternoons, a Georgia Tech fan toppled over a Bobby Dodd Stadium railing during a Yellow Jacket football defeat.

According to WSB Channel 2, a Tech freshman fell 15 feet in the northwest bleacher section at Grant Field during Middle Tennessee State’s 49-28 win over Tech.

The student, who was not named, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with a shoulder injury and was later released.

On Sept. 22, Jose Espinosa survived a 20-foot fall at the stadium during Tech’s loss to Miami (Fla.). A school athletic official told WSB that the rails are up to code and that both incidents were fans on their own falling accidently.

Last month, a 20-year-old fan from Tennessee fell over a 33-inch railing at the Georgia Dome, and fell to his death during a Tennessee-N.C. State college football game.
