22nd Annual 2012 Atlanta Pride Run & Walk 5K
The Atlanta Pride Run, currently in its 22nd year, is an annual 5K race and walk organized by the Front Runners Atlanta running club. Front Runners Atlanta is a running, walking and social club for gay people and friends. The Atlanta Pride Run is typically held the last weekend in June to coincide with the commemoration of the Stonewall riots. Proceeds from the registration and other fundraisers are donated to a local charity that supports the GLBT community in Georgia.
Proceeds from this year's event will support Jerusalem House, Atlanta’s oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for Atlanta’s low-income and homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS and the Atlanta Pride Committee.
The Pride Race Dinner will be at Einstein's, on Friday, 6/22 from 7-9pm. Tickets are $25.
Start at Piedmont Park to Prado Gate. South to 10th. East to re-enter park at Charles Allen Gate. Finish near Aquatic Center.
