Forefront Arts, LLC is offering Performing Arts Classes for ages 6-14 at the Second-Ponce Family Life Center. Classes in Acting, Improvisation, Creative Dramatics, Musical Theatre, and Playwriting will be offered throughout the year.

Songs and Scenes: "High School Musical" (ages 6-14)
Students will work on creating believable characters and bringing songs to life through expression and physicality. Students will receive instruction in basic music theory, work on singing skills both in a group and one-on-one with a vocal coach and will be taught choreography for their individual songs and the large group numbers. As part of the class each week students will also learn about developing positive character traits such as respect, kindness, leadership, and generosity. Games and exercises will be used to promote physical and spatial awareness, teamwork, and confidence. The class will culminate in a showcase performance.

Playmaking (ages 6-14)
Students will work together to adapt a well-known children's book or fairy tale into an original play. Using theatre games, acting and vocal exercises, and character-building creative play we'll work together to write, rehearse, and stage our own show. It starts with a story but who knows where it will go?
