Florida State vs Auburn: Who Wins?

A win Monday would be FSU’s first BCS championship since the 1999 season, while the 2010 Tigers won it all.

After an endless stream of bowls the past two weeks, we’re almost down to the one that really counts.

On Monday night, top-ranked and ACC champion Florida State will face No. 2-ranked and SEC champion Auburn in the BCS National Championship Game. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. from the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.

Not given much consideration for a championship at the start of the 2013 football campaign, the Seminoles, 13-0, and Tigers, 12-1, have certainly taken different routes to now be on the brink of a national crown. A win Monday would be FSU’s first BCS championship since the 1999 season, while the 2010 Tigers won it all.

Auburn, Ala., and Tallahassee where FSU is located are less than 200 miles apart and the two schools recruit many of the same 5-star athletes. The Tigers own a 13-4-1 series advantage, but the two southern college football heavyweights haven’t played since the 1990 season.

But before you do, who do you think wins and who's the game MVP? FSU and Jameis Winston? Auburn and Tre Mason? Somebody on defense?
