The Mercer Bears, seeded No. 14 in the NCAA men's basketball tournament, stunned No. 3 Duke with a victory Friday, 76-68.
The private university in Macon had not been in the tournament in 29 years but rose to victory on the shoulders of a strong senior contingent, who rallied the Bears from a one-point halftime deficit to victory.
