Vote for Your Favorite Peachtree T-Shirt Design

Atlanta Track Club announces five design finalists for the t-shirts that will be given to those who finish the annual running of the July 4 Peachtree Road Race.

Peachtree Road Race fans can vote on their favorite T-shirt design for the 43rd running of the July 4 5K, which concludes on 10th Street alongside Piedmont Park.

The Atlanta Track Club this week announced the five finalists, including three University of West Georgia students and two local graphic designers. A panel of judges representing the Atlanta Track Club, the AJC and local graphic artists made the selections, according to a news release.

Voting for the 2012 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt design is open until April 30 at ajc.com/peachtree. The winning design, which will be unveiled on July 4, will be featured on 60,000 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirts. The winning artist will receive $1,000, and each of the four runners-up $100. 

The finalists are Mallory Royal, a recent graduate of the University of West Georgia's photography program; Caitlyn Weathers, a West Georgia photography student; Rachel Campbell, a graphics designer and founder of branding and creative design firm, Logos Atlanta; Clarissa Robinson, a graphics design student at West Georgia; and Jared Swafford, a graphics designer.

Runners seeking to participate in the Peachtree have until 11:59 p.m. Thursday to register online for the lottery. Those who make the field will be notified by March 26.
