Doc Chey's and Osteria 832 give Atlantans another reason to enjoy a mid-week meal of peace, love and noodles

Doc Chey’s and Osteria 832 give Atlantans another reason to enjoy a mid-week meal of peace, love and noodles during the annual Dine Out for Pride event. Every Wednesday night in June, the HomeGrown Restaurants are donating a portion of each guest’s bill to Atlanta Pride Committee. Each week a different location will host the fundraiser from 5 p.m. until close.

“This event was created six years ago to support Atlanta Pride’s lack of funding,” said director of marketing for HomeGrown Restaurants Ashlee Lepore. “So far we have raised $7,000 and hope that this year we can hit the $10,000 mark.”

The Atlanta Pride Committee is a non-profit group committed to sharing a positive image of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders by promoting unity, visibility and self-esteem. The committee also hosts the annual Atlanta Pride weekend in October. The Dine Out for Pride event at Doc Chey’s and Ostiera 832 coincides with Stonewall month to commemorate the Stonewall riots that occurred in New York City in 1969.
