Traffic Advisory: Deering Road at Kenwood Closed Due to Water Main Break
Morning delays are to be expected Monday morning.
"Deering Road at Kenwood Avenue is closed as crews work on a water main that has been leaking for about a week -- but now the ground is sinking," says WSB-TV.
Deering is totally shut down for about a block, causing the popular cut-thru for commuters to be backed up. The street is blocked from Peachtree Street to Northside Drive, Monday morning.
Our suggestion is to use Collier Road or 17th Street as alternates to make your way between Northside and Peachtree.
There has been given no time frame for when the emergency repairs will be done. Readers may recall that this same area was blocked for 8 months due to a sinking parking lot.
