Uggla and Friends Serve It Up For A Good Cause

STK in Midtown helps Braves Dan Uggla host his annual Celebrity Waiter Night benefiting the all-star's Diamonds in the Rough Foundation

Monday night at STK Atlanta in Midtown, Atlanta Braves all-star second baseman Dan Uggla hosted his second annual Celebrity Waiter Night benefiting his Diamonds in the Rough Foundation. The sold-out fundraising event attracted 150 guests who enjoyed STK's signature cuisine served by Uggla and his teammates, fine wine and silent and live auctions.

Guests kicked off the evening with a cocktail hour in the lounge of STK where not only did they get to bid on silent auction items, but they also got to mix and mingle with Uggla and his teammates Freddie Freeman, Martin Prado, Mike Minor, Michael Bjorn, Eric Hinske, Jair Jurrjens, Kris Medlen, Tyler Pastornicky and former Braves player Charlie Leibrandt.

As guests filled the dining room, Uggla discussed his foundation, introduced the players, teased live auction items including dinner with himself and his friends at STK, signed jerseys, concert tickets and more....and then quickly put his teammates to work. With the help of STK's servers, the Braves traded in their bats, gloves and balls for aprons - bringing each table a four-course meal.
