The day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with two signature projects hosted by Delta Air Lines and Alston & Bird.

In partnership with Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless, Delta's  “Touch the Heart, Feed the Body & Warm the Soul” project at Carver High School will  assemble 6,000 bagged lunches for distribution to those in need in Atlanta and package more than 10,000 recycled fleece blankets collected from the airline's aircraft fleet for distribution to Atlanta’s homeless population and community shelters. A Presidential Volunteer Service Award will be awarded during this project.

Volunteers from Alston & Bird will work with  graduates of the Boys & Girls Club’s Keystone Leadership Program to paint several murals throughout the Boys and Girls Club facility as well as prepare the organization’s garden for spring planting. The event will include a keynote address from a 17-year old graduate of the program.
