Piedmont Park Conservancy fundraiser phone bank volunteers needed

The Piedmont Park Conservancy invites you to help volunteer at their fundraiser at on Thursday, May 31 from 5 to 10 p.m.  They need a minimum of 25 volunteers to help with their phone bank, as the event will be televised live. 

All volunteers will recieve complimentary food and drinks. See here for more information.

Piedmont Park is home to many of Atlanta’s largest events, including Atlanta’s summer tradition – The AJC Peachtree Road Race. Piedmont Park Conservancy is partnering with the Atlanta Track Club this year as an official charity and you can do your part by supporting us in this partnership.

No matter your budget, have your dream wedding in Atlanta’s most beautiful location-picturesque Piedmont Park. All the planning has been taken care of, just bring your partner and up to 20 guests and say “I Do in Piedmont Park!”

The wedding marathon will take place on Saturday, June 16 at Piedmont Park’s Dockside.

This new event is open to weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals and will provide you with all the necessities to create a lifetime of memories for you, your family and friends. Ceremony slots begin at 9 a.m. and are available through 7:30 p.m. Each couple will have up to 45 minutes to include a seated ceremony followed by a champagne toast for you and your guests. Piedmont Park Conservancy and a few of their exceptional preferred vendors will provide the following:

  • Beautiful waterfront Dockside ceremony site
  • Wedding officiant for all denominations
  • Photography service (with option to purchase additional)
  • White ceremony chairs (20)
  • Ceremony music
  • Wedding floral backdrop
  • Choice of brides bouquet for duration of ceremony
  • Wedding planner to assist with ceremony
  • Champagne toast for you and your guests
  • 2 oversized cupcakes for the couple

Ceremonies start at $500 and proceeds benefit the continued maintenance and enhancement of Piedmont Park, so why not tie the knot?

LYH SPOGA
Class times: Monday 6 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.; Wednesday 6 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

This fitness class combines 30 minutes of indoor cycling (spin) and 30 minutes of yoga for one great workout! Within weeks you will begin to see the results you are looking for. SPOGA is the most fun you will ever have burning 500 calories in one workout.

SPIN
Class times: Saturday 8 a.m. starting June 2

Get in shape with indoor cycling in Atlanta’s largest green space. This cycling class is designed for those looking to get a great cardiovascular, fat blasting workout. SPIN will meet outside at the Piedmont Park Aquatic Center. Each class will end with a 15-minute ab class as a perfect way to gain that much desire d six-pack.

SPLASH
Class times: Tuesday and Saturday 9 a.m. starting June 2

This is not your grandmother’s water aerobics (but she can surely attend). SPLASH is a deep-water aerobic class like no other. This class combines water-resistance, upper and lower body training for an amazing cardiovascular workout. This is the perfect complement to your exercise regiment as it takes pressure off your joints, and rejuvenates your body while giving you an intense workout.

SPIN N’ SPLASH
Class times: Saturday 8 a.m. starting June 2

If you dare, combine SPIN and SPLASH together for an amazing start to your weekend. Great for triathletes in training, this workout will give you an intense bike session followed with a dip in the pool for a great water-aerobics class.
