Tornado Warnings Around Atlanta, Heavy Rains and Wind in Atlanta

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Saturday morning, residents throughout the metro area woke up to the sounds of high winds and heavy rains.

Residents in outer counties like Dawson, Lumpkin, and Pickens have been under a tornado warning since early Saturday and us in Atlanta can possibly expect this storm to bring hail and damaging winds.

According to WSB there have already been reports of trees down in the southwest Atlanta and metro areas, "the line of heavy rain and storms are expected to clear up around noon."

Weather.com reports this forecast for the next 6 hours:

Rain and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Rain will come to an end around early afternoon. Mostly cloudy. Windy early. Temperatures steady in the low 60s. Winds WSW at 15 to 20 mph. Rainfall may reach one inch.
