Peachtree to Close on Oct. 5th for Grand Opening of Republic of Couture

Republic of Couture is ready and excited to celebrate its Grand Opening on October 5th, with an all-out Fashion Block Party along Peachtree Street.

“The reputation we enjoy in Atlanta is too big to be kept inside and it’s time to say ‘thank you’,” according to Gaston Garcia, Republic of Couture founder. The Grand Opening event will feature a full-length outdoor fashion show directly on Peachtree Street between 11th and 12th Streets followed by a street party with DJ AMIX entertainers, food and music.

The full city block on Peachtree Street between 11th and 12th Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5 until Sunday at 1:00 a.m. Construction of a 40 foot raised runway with VIP seating and backstage model area will commence in the afternoon. Special lighting will be installed, sound checks conducted and rehearsals completed before the 8:00 p.m. start of the fashion show.

“We are proud to welcome Republic of Couture to Atlanta and to District 6 in particular,” says District 6 City Council member Alex Wan. “It’s a dynamic environment that perfectly answers the burgeoning retail and residential needs of the community.”
